#17 Georgetown – September 19, 2014
Finally, I found time to capture a piece of Georgetown. It was a lovely Friday afternoon. The streets were bustling as usual. The streets were full with cars and people getting ready for the weekend. After 3 months of being swamped with life, I forgot how exciting it was to just stop and draw a piece of ‘this moment’ and focus on being present. To forget everything else and just focus on the small details you notice around you. It’s almost as if you are watching a movie live in the middle of the street, where you sit and observe everything around you. It’s quite an amazing feeling.
It’s also always fun when a number of people stop by and say hello. Some even drove by giving thumbs up when I showed them what I was doing. “You are doing this for homework?,” asked a guy with puzzled look. “Nah, just for fun.” “Wow, that’s just AWESOME.” I smiled back. I think so too.
Happy Fall DC!
More drawings to come!
